Cocktails Ideas for Weddings

Cocktail Ideas for Weddings

Is any wedding truly complete without a show-stopping cocktail menu?

Many couples are opting to include cocktails throughout their big day, and for good reason. From the welcome drinks to the reception, cocktails can give your wedding a memorable edge.

Whether you’re looking for something fun and exciting, or subtle and classy, there are plenty of options to choose from.

Here are some of our favourites!

Starting with a staple: the Daiquiri

The daiquiri is a white rum-based cocktail that’s super adaptable.

It can be anything you want it to be! If you love fruity flavours, then why not opt for a strawberry or kiwi daiquiri?

However, if your wedding is in the summer season, and you’re wanting to channel some beach vibes, then you should definitely look at making your daiquiris frozen. Seriously – give one a go.

A soul-warming cocktail: Hot Toddy

If you’re anything like us, you’ll love nothing more than getting snuggled up on the sofa with a warm drink.

Hot Toddies are the perfect way to bring that feeling to your wedding day. Just bear in mind that the colder months are the ideal time to put this drink on your cocktail menu.

They usually include whisky, honey, and hot water. If you’re feeling festive, why not add a cinnamon stick to garnish the drink?

Cocktails can be classy too: Mimosa

Mimosas are a simple, classic addition to any cocktail menu, and are perfect for any time of year.

They’re incredibly easy to make, too, yet look – and taste - absolutely fantastic. What’s classier than champagne and orange juice? Nothing!

You can serve these at any part of your day to have your guests bubbling with delight (see what we did there?).

For large batches and easy serving: Sangria

You don’t have to be in the Spanish sun to enjoy a sangria  (although, yes, it would be nice).

This wine cocktail is the one if you’re looking for a cocktail to serve out of pitchers, keeping the drinks flowing.

It’s full of fruit, which makes Sangria a super healthy option. It consists of red wine, brandy and orange juice, topped with any and all fruit. If you ask us, it’s the ideal option for a more casual wedding.

For the classiest weddings: Paloma

The Paloma is a cocktail you rarely see, which makes it a great addition to your wedding cocktail menu, if you want the drinks to be memorable.

All you need is tequila, lime, and grapefruit soda, garnished with lime or grapefruit. It has the most beautiful pink colour, too.

For those who dare to be different: signature cocktails!

We’ve saved the best for last.

If you’re having trouble with what cocktails to have for your wedding, then create your own! It’s a great bonding experience for you and your partner, plus you can match them to your theme, colour scheme, or personality.

You can even name them yourself! It’s a win-win.

The ideal way to inject your personality into your big day

Whatever you choose from the above, we’re confident your guests will love the cocktail menu at your wedding!

You can’t go wrong with cocktails. They add a splash of something very elegant and special to the day and makes it a little more memorable and enjoyable.
